Was this Malmstrom Air Force Base? I bet there would be a list of commanding officers somewhere in military records. I did a quick search to see if I could find anything. I found a blog post from 2013 that mentions a 1953 committee to study discrimination against black soldiers stationed at nearby Malmstrom Air Force Base.
