First, there is indeed a segment of men who complain loudly and with umbrage any time a woman makes a valid point. Especially about gender, sex, and equality.

However, there are women who continue to use stereotypes and absolutes to prop up narratives. Like the one here.

This hyperbole is not helpful, and it does not address many factors and biases. Here’s two of the latter; one stereotype says men want sex all the time and can’t be raped, while another says women are universally good. Neither is true. For both men and women there is a range of behavior.

It is well known that most rapists are repeat offenders. Studies on the general population of college men suggest a range of 2 to 6 rapes apiece. While other studies of specific groups show higher rates: members of sports teams and fraternities 10 each, and one study of incarcerated men pegged it at 11+ per rapist.

In short, the bulk of rapes are committed by a minority of men; most men are not rapists.
