I don't doubt fewer men are approaching women but I doubt that number is as dire.
I wonder how much of this is magnified by women reportedly still having a strong preference that men initiate.
I say 'reportedly' because I also question who does what. If a woman sends a non-verbal signal (a glance, a smile, or a laugh) or if she initiates a conversation... none of those things is actually asking the guy out, but technically it's the first signal saying, 'I'm open to you approaching me."
Honestly, in the this post ‘Me Too’ era, if women are frustrated that guys aren't initiating or asking them out, send more signals, or more obvious ones.
