I'm more happy? content? when partnered. But I also have many solitary pursuits. When I was single I started making more of an effort to maintain my male relationships. There were mixed results. No burned bridges, rather it's still a little socially awkward to be proactive in seeking and maintaining male relationships. But it's worth it! I also think it's easier to foster intentional community around an activity or hobby.
