It’s not really true, though, is it? We have lots of negative terms for men: player, tool, deadbeat, user, creep, prick, jerk, asshole, bastard, dick, tight, alpha bro, incel, mama’s boy, douche/douchebag, whimp, man-whore, brown-noser, yes man, whipped/pussy whipped. Jock and frat boy are usually negative. Cad, rake, gigolo/Lothario, Casanova are classic terms, but still generally negative.

Both men and women are called needy or sluts. Cheap has different meanings for men than women. A woman who’s cheap is too easy, while a man is who isn’t free with his money is cheap. A man can be too easy, but that usual means he’s too agreeable, and therefore not worthy of respect.
