It's taken me a while to understand what reparations might mean. I think for many it's an ill-defined concept that illicits fear that people are going to have something taken from them. I'll cop to that initial reaction when I first heard it.

But now, I see reparations in terms of how can we address/fix this institutional racism. For me that would be aggressive lending programs geared towards black/brown home ownership coupled with infrastructure spending in those communities.
