No, I don't think we're that far apart. And I don't think men and women are that different. In some crucial ways, yes. But more broadly, no. For example, one thing that gets extended play is the infidelity gap.

So one, is that 7-point difference so large? And two, researchers are finding that men inflate their number of partners and women under-report. So here is one stereotype, that men are the wanderers and cheats, that has essentially been debunked, but still it persists.
