People really need to stop viewing the concept of reparations as a 'lump sum payment.' For what it's worth, I hear white people interpreting it more frequently as individual payments, while people of color more frequently call for investment and access to capital, homes, and opportunity.

The individualism so inherent capitalism really limits the ability to see solutions that are much broader and more likely to fix what's broken.
