she grinned with envy at the number of visa stamps in it.
We were excited to get some stamps in our new passports pre-COVID. When we went to Mexico (2017), we had to ask to get our passport stamped, and it looked like we were putting the guy out. When we went to Canada (2019), we got an agent that looked like CO Bell from Orange is the New Black. She didn't stamp our passports, so we asked if she would. She said no and flagged us to be searched. We're US residents, so our thought was maybe they don't do that for neighboring countries. Is that normal?
