Testosterone is the least of my concerns when it comes to boys and girls and whether a man/father figure is involved in their lives.

Men respond and react and parent and teach differently than women. This article doesn't mention this aspect. Women are more prone to talking, and frankly, this isn't what many young boys (and girls) need when they need to accept limits.

I have no problem with most female educators that I've met. Many, such as in the elementary setting, recognize that children (esp. boys) have a kinetic energy and don't penalize them for it. However, I have a huge problem with our educational system that is playing to female strengths, such as testing, co-operation, and verbal expression at early ages and lack of movement and tactile, experiential learning. Girls, by the way, benefit from these learning environments as well. But the current trend in teaching has favored girls for the past two decades and contributes to the high rates of ADHD diagnosis and medication of our youth. This is impacting boys far more than girls.
