I’ve definitely heard guys call women gold-diggers or be harshly critical of single moms. I wish guys could/would express themselves better.
For example, I’ve seen the frustration that we’ve been told it’s all about equality, but some women still want a provider. (This is different than wanting an equal.) I’ve also heard some men say they’ve been criticized for not wanting to date someone with kids.
I think it’s totally legit to point out hypocrisy that it’s shallow to be interested in someone because of money or not enough. It’s also a valid for men (or women) to say they don’t want to take on someone else’s kid.
