The biggest issue I have with the for-profit angle to our health care is that we essentially don't have a free market. The 8-10 major carriers, through collusion basically, set prices and then limit choices via in/out of network designations. It contributes to a lack of transparency on pricing and limits the ability of the masses to be true consumers, taking their health care benefits and spending them where they choose.
