There was a perky new co-worker who asked about doing a gift exchange at Christmas time. I was like Oh, hell no. You can't leave that shit out there either, so I jumped on that email quick and shot that down. But some people have hard time accepting no. As it had been a while since we had done a casual team meeting (lunch or drinks after work) I suggested that instead. I actually like my teammates, so that was easy. Three people emailed me privately, thanking for redirecting that suggestion.
