This, I think is something many 'top writers' don't' seem to grasp. I see people cranking out articles, and while I might read some of them, they are repetitive. B Kean, is a prime example. I love *some* of his pieces. But some of them are just cranked out, they're not as good as others. I've subscribed to him and then unsubscribed, because I was getting too much. One of the things that pisses me off about Medium, is if you view something by someone once, then you keep getting them in your feed, again and again. I've had to block some very popular writers, who I even liked, because they kept showing up in my feed and they crank out piece after piece.

Medium could make some changes by doing a number of things. One, maybe limit max number of articles you can publish each week. (2 a week?) or just do away with algorithms entirely, you have to subscribe to an author or follow a topic for it to show up in your feed. I doubt that would happen, but I'd be game.
