We're doing some of the same stuff down here in terms of investigations into Native American boarding schools. Biden appointed Deb Haaland to serve as Secretary of the Interior, the first Native American to serve as a Cabinet secretary. If she wasn't appointed and following up, I might be more skeptical, but I'm more hopeful something will be done, ie: reparations or increased funding to tribes.
