You said you made peace. But did you actually discuss it?

I recently read Missoula: Rape and the Justice System in a College Town, and he talks of how women freeze up during assault, they frequently can't find their voice. I don't know the extent of what was happening with your husband and drunk former friend, or for how long , and I've never had that happen to me. And to be clear, I have never been raped or assaulted. But I have been felt up a couple of times, I've had women make very forward comments that I wasn't expecting, and while I wouldn't say I froze up, I had no immediate response.
